Ylva is one of the three main protagonists of Viking Skool. She along with Erik and Arni are students of Viking Skool.
Appearance[]
Ylva has long red hair with stray hairs dispersed throughout and held at the forehead by a thin black headband. She has thick black eyebrows and rosy cheeks. She wears a white fur coat above a brown dress, dark brown sash to carry a pouch with, and has black wrapping around her forearms that resemble her black boots.
Personality[]
Ylva is described as a loyal, ambitious and instinctive fighter, who is cheerful and carefree. She is the fastest and most skilled pupil in the skool, but has a touch of wildness about her. She has an innate affinity for animals and nature. Sometimes this is positive, as this gives her the ability for quick reactions, instinctive hunches, and even sensing animal behavior. She has a straightforward and honest nature, and thanks to her unusual upbringing with her wolf pack, she has a somewhat strange view of social norms. Just like a wolf cub: loyal, enthusiastic, smiling, but capable of causing a lot of disruption without realizing it.
Ylva has a level of excellence in all Viking disciplines and loves a challenge. When Ylva begins to wonder what she would like to do later in life, she realizes that her dream is to become the best Valkyrie.[3] However, during the fateful excursion with Turid Skogul at the forest which revealed to be the one she used to live at and they and their friends unwittingly upset a wind spirit by staking one of its tree home's roots until she amended it, Ylva has a second thought about his dreams and therefore sought to sort it out first.[4]
Background[]
Ylva was found in the forest at a young age and raised by a pack of wolves. Thanks to this she managed to acquire quite a few skills for nature. At some point she joined Viking Skool in courtesy of the very group of hunters who took her in and became her second family, where she met and befriended Erik Fourchebarbe and Arni Weaversonson.[3][5]

Powers and abilities[]
- Physical Conditioning: Thanks to her upbringing, Ylva has honed herself physically beyond her fellow Viking Skool students contrary to what her frame suggested. Indeed, she is noted to be faster and more agile out of three friends.
- Skilled Combatants: Though she still has much to learn as with her peers, there's no denying that she's one of most capable students in Viking Skool, able to keep up with Mr. Hammerson who admittedly a formidable berserker himself.
- Axe Mastery: Ylva's weapon of choice is a two-handed axes which she can wield with notable skill. She's also no slouch with one-handed axes also.
- Skilled Tracker: Ylva is shown to utilize her superb senses in tracking people.
- Hair Storage: Ylva can use her long hair to store objects.

- According to Loki, her full name is Ylva av Skogen, though validity of this claim remains to be seen at this point.[7]
